1983 244 D24TIC repower
Well I finally decided that my engine in my car has had enough..
Little history; the engine that is currently installed in my car came from a rusted out POS 740 with 243,xxx miles on it. I did a quick re-ring, gasket match and porting job on the cylinder head. I recorded all clearances when put together, amazingly enough the rotating assembly was all in new spec. Cylinder head was far from being in spec though.. Should of been rebuilt 100,000 ago... So there is now 70,xxx miles on this engine that was quickly put together, so it has a total of 313,xxx miles with no machine work. During those 70,xxx miles it has seen 30 psi of boost, 20 psi on a daily basis and the injection pump has been maxed the whole time. I'm very curious to see what it looks like on the inside. Here is the car that's getting the transplant.
