Other Turbocharger ? - Any Alternatives ?
Hi.
Is anyone around here, who had changed the Turbocharger to a "bigger" / Greater / one ? ** Which Turbocharger can i Install, which is Plug and Play ? Plug and Play i mean: - Oil Supply only (Not watercooled) - Oil return Line. - Connection to Exhaust Manifold - Connection To Exhaust Some work , in the Body Framework, caused by Greater Turbines are no Problem. on ebay, there are existing many "universal Turbochargers"- Not expensive But i dont know about the Exhaust and Oil Connections Here for Example: http://www.ebay.de/itm/Universaler-T...item20d90884a4 This seller has many variants of Turbos in his offers ... Looks like the same connection on the Manifold, But i donīt know how to get the Exhaust Pipe on this ? (Theres a Square Flange on the car.. , i remember....- but on this Charger... is nothing ?!?!?!) It seems to be no Problem to find a Turbo for a T3 Flange for the manifold, but i donīt want to edit the Carīs exhaust Pipe (Exhaust output from Turbo), so im looking for a PNP Solution for this "Problem" Greetings from Europe Last edited by sonny; 02-13-2015 at 10:16 AM. |

Well what turbo do you have on there now? For some reason I think there's two different turbos installed on these. One has an internal controlled waste gate and one was a external controlled waste gate (I think installed on the TIC models?)
I upgraded my turbo, I'm running a Turbonetics super 60. It's really all the turbo you would need. You can customize the turbo when you purchase it, you can get it with the 4 bolt outlet (T31 flange). I purchased mine with the 5 bolt to run a waste gate. The exhaust housing is a bit different as it will sit closer to block, meaning you will need to change the feed and drain lines.

I'm thinking gains will be pretty small with the stock tailpipe, but I could be wrong. Seems to me a blank dataplate suggests no company wanted their reputation attached to the part.
