Will one piece thrust bearings work in place of the 3 piece?
I am in the middle of a rebuild on a D24T.... I had ordered the set of crankshaft bearings that included the one piece thrust bearing. Once I tore the engine down, I found that it had the 3 piece thrust bearing. I ordered this from Rockauto, but the set came incomplete, missing the thrust bearing parts. It was the last one - now they do not have the parts I need and can only give me a refund. So my question is: is it OK to use one in place of another? They seem to fit correctly.. But I don't want to mess anything up. I attached a picture that shows one of each type.
