Controlling of a electronic transmission behind a mechanical engine is the easy part, there is companies like PCS that make stand alone controllers for electronic transmissions. There would be some difficulty in the fitment of the AW behind a d24t, if an upgrade from the 4hp22 was needed there is an 4hp24. But all said and done I believe the 4hp22 could be built if needed to handle more power then a D24T could ever put out.
