Good stuff. What sort of load capacity is that rated for. Should be quite a bit with the double-rear axle there.

Balls. What happened ?

As for the weight, I would have expected a lot more. I have a load carrying capacity of 1600 kg in the LT from empty (Gross Vehicle Weight: 4000 kg).

Yeah, this truck is actually pretty small. I am suprised it can do those numbers with a 2.4L engine.

I had to cut hard transmission cooler lines and put stainless braid hoses on the ends. I couldnt tighten the clamps enough to stop them from leaking.
Just typical breaking in issues when trying to run a new configration up a 7% grade at WOT; imho.

The LT's, where that engine originates, came with a vehicle design gross weight of up to 5.6 tonne, with that engine.

There's a good bit torque in it, so it's alright.

Okay - road trip over - in a different vehicle.

First, it was over heating. The cooling system in the Pinz is complicated, but we were able to get the bubbles out without it going into the red on the gauge.

Then a clamp on the silicon tubing from the turbo to the intercooler popped off, that was an easy fix - I probably forgot to tighten it.

Lastly, I had cut steel cooler lines for the tranny to fit the intercooler in. I had spliced them with steel braided hose and tried hose clamps - not a great combination. So that sprung a leak. it was late in the day and we had 6.5 hours to drive, so I towed it home.

I am looking at specs and options now for a better splice job on the tranny cooler lines.

I would run all new cooling lines from the radiator to the transmission. Or you could use a compression type fitting to go from the hard line to the barb hose fitting, something like this:http://www.summitracing.com/parts/rnb-800-036/overview/.

Gah! I hate it when you guys are right and it means more work for me. I will replace the lines in their entirety.

Here is the first time we drove it down the street. Shaky video, tried to smooth it, so it looks funny.

Rubber lines work for tens of thousands of hours on tractors.
Just go to they hydraulic shop and get good hose and big wide clamps. Extra points if you have them put a lip on the cut ends of the metal line.
