1st generation LT van, turbo, etc
Anyone here ever swapped a D24T into a previously D24 powered 1st generation VW LT?
Is it bolt-in, or is there any obstacle in the way? Also, how do you get the engine out of an LT? I mean, do you have to unbolt entire front axle and everything related and lift the body off, or there is an easier way? Never touched any, and there should be one coming next week in for an engine swap...

Welcome KraftWerk, another LT owner.
I have not swapped out the engine, but it is done through the right-hand door via the engine bay cover. http://www.brick-yard.co.uk/forum/se...KW=engine+swap You do not need a two-post lift, just a crane with a reach of 1500mm and 250kg. Check out the BrickYard forum, many a helpful LT owner on there, like me for instance, LTCamper89.

Hehe, there's been some confusion. I'm not new here, and I'm not an LT owner.
I had a deal, and part of it included me swapping engines in an LT. However, the other side did not hold their side, hence I will be doing no LT swap. Even so, it might come useful one day, thanks a lot. Cheers!
