Fuel Filter Inner o ring???
Anyone know if I need to use the little inner O ring when replacing the fuel filter?
Volvo cant seem to tell me...

If it wasn't leaking, I would reinstall it the same as the one that came off.

well I have had it both ways
didnt notice a diff but there has to be one right??? It is an 86 740 TD wagon if that helps

I just looked in my green book, and there is no picture of the filter. It just says to lube the filter seal. They may not have been that way originally. I would be willing to be the inner o-ring was added later to help keep the clean fuel from mixing with unfiltered. I'm sure it can't hurt.

well there are 2 filter seals the outer and inner...
I guess ill try it!

Yes use the oring it comes with a new filter. I dont see a listing for it seprate in VIDA. It keeps the unfiltered fuel from going into pump.
