Default Engine Paint

Currently rebuilding a spare D24 NA, that I had in the shed.

Trying to pick colors to paint the block, accessories and covers.
Going to stick with a green for a block (still have to determine shade), but haven't decided on the rest yet.

Anyone want to share previous paint jobs that have been done for these engines? Looking for some inspiration & ideas.

Any recommendations for brand/type of paint would also be appreciated.

I really like this John Deere tractor/farm equipment green enamel engine paint that I used. In real life it looks better.
When freshly sprayed, it did look a shade lighter and more `vivid` than what it looks in real life today. And I like it a lot.
The name of this paint is 'John Deere tractor and farm equipment' and I think it is made by Rustoleum.
With a very thorough cleanup and prep, and after multiple coats of engine high heat primers, it looked great even after the first green coat but I used three coats of green.

I also like the idea of a shiny black d24 engine but then you wont be able to see the little details of this rare beast. And, potential leaks can remain a secret for too long unless your car stays museum quality clean....rare sight under a diesel`s hood. )

I have seen a blue engine too, on a d24 that was a marine engine, and that looked good, too.

To see the john deere color in a daylight video from many angles, watch this video...(i think i walked around the engine)
