Thanks folks

Ive ordered a new temperature sender unit (mine is a 2 wire type and quite hard to track down) so hopefully that should sort it. At present, my heater blows 'slightly warm' air before the needle even reaches the start of the line on the gauge, so I suspect the gauge could be not as accurate as it should be!
