Dial indicator, yes.

Cam wheel and crank tools have a line on genuine. Though would buy those and the funny scalloped out socket to remove the injectors.

Moving the lever all the way to advanced makes it possible to start in the cold, though very loud and scary sounding, have no verified timing.

I know the #6 glow plug...
