I think that’s the way I may go, just didn’t like the idea of stripping them to find one damaged and no spares.
I have the tutorial and ordered the shin kit from Mercedes spares so all good there....

Thanks for the help, she’s up and running again, set the pump to around .88 so I’ve lost some poke but also a lot of smoke.
Going to fit new injector nozzles next and then probably adjust the pump...

Cursing the guy who polished up my engine and made it look good previously he’s got me cleaning and painting cam belt...

Can anyone tell me the torques for the pulleys, idler and the cam caps? I have made a tool for the rear cam pulley and have the dimensions for the camshaft...

While I had the plugs out I’ve done a compression test...

Im not filled with confidence on the clutch replacement so il likely order a new one, bearing and fork and pull it apart and have looked at getting another fly to have skimmed before I pull it apart....

I need to do the belts on my 91 940 with the single idler and tension adjustment on the water pump and trying to gather parts.
I think I have found the correct belts, tensioner and rocker cover...

Yeah I’ve ordered the gauge to check the pump timing as well, don’t get a lot of time at home so trying to organise as much as I can to get it done, if I can rule out timing and injectors...

Perfect I use brickwerks for the t4, looked at that gauge before for the t4 so hopefully it fits. Any idea where to get the shims? I seem to have everything else in the guide already

Perfect thanks, I actually run a t4 5 cyl as well but it’s the 2.5 with the standyne style injectors which are different. Il order a couple sets.
If i can get away with the be dti that may be best...

Does anyone have the part number for the injector seals suitable for a 91 d24tdic and possibly the name of a supplier in the uk?

Bought a pop tester and have an ultrasonic bath so going to check...
