Jan's (240diesel) 1978 245 D24Tic wagon
This year i didn't made much pictures of the 245, so i show a couple of pic's taken the year before in Belgium;
http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r...l/P1010179.jpg http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r...l/P1010182.jpg http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r...l/P1010183.jpg The pic shows the 15"wheels with 215/85/15 tires, my "overdrive-wheels" But since i modified my rearaxle with a JEEP diff/housing it's a little to much ratio-upgrade so i grabbed a set of 14"last trip.I keep the speed at 90KM/h so i don't need that ratio so much on holiday. |
Looks good... You really have her loaded down. Thats when the diesel really shines... All that torque is what you need.

GRRR#$!%@$#!%$, didn't have a camera with me......
Yesterday a had a really nice towing-job, i was driving home coming from my work and saw a Volvo XC70 wich was broken down just in the middle of traffic-lights. A policecar behind him, all flash-lights on. I managed to get my 245 in front of the XC70 and offerede him a helping hand.Before the police could ring for a haulage-truck we took of and i towed him to the volvo-dealer.(the dealer was just 500 meter away, how much luck can you have) It would have been a nice picture '78 245 towing a '10 XC70......... EDIT:I realise that i'm polluting this thread, so Jason, feel free to remove our last postings wich have nothing to do with the IC-thread. |
Ha sweet! Old school volvo power pulling the new stuff!
I don't consider this "polution" of the thread. A little off topic but I'm sure everyone can deal with it. Pretty much my fault for asking for pictures. I'll move the stuff over to a new thread in the member showroom area. Jason |
Jason thanks for understanding and moving the postings to here, that's better.
