Water leak - how best to fix
Hiya folks,
This evening, I was extolling the virtues of the D24T engine to a friend with a 240, suggesting he fit one to it. And as I was doing so, I noticed a couple of wet patches on the pipe below. Which, when prodded, became holes and my coolant began leaking out - luckily I was able to get my friend to stop the water leak while I drained the coolant off. Anyway - it appears to be just a straightforward pipe - is there anything preventing me buying a length of copper (or similar plumbing equipment) tubing to replace it? It appears to be steel at present. I'm not running OAT coolant so I don't see any problems, just wondering if anyone else has done it |

It looks like the oil cooler pipe that runs under the manifold. Probably a good time to eliminate the oil cooler and it's plumbing.
