Default Diffrence on pistons in D24 LDA tower?

My english sucks, so does my camera.

Have anybody else noticed diffrence on the piston in D24td pump tower?

What diffrence will it make in performance between this two? Maybe nothing?

The right one is from a test series pump from bosch and the left is from a normal D24tic pump.

My theory is that it is difference between d24t and d24tic. Tic has more horsepower and smokes a little bit more to.

Ah, LDA opened.
Wonderful, those "pistons" really seems different.
You really cant say nothing just from those "pistons",
than at the right ones "facet" is little more deeper,
or other way told; the perimeter on right one is smaller
at the end of "facet". That will affect fuel injection,
as short story: smaller "perimeter" at the end of facet->
more fuel to engine under pressure.

Im sorry, since with my english i cant fastly without wordbook tell
the full working of LDA, but with tuning it its possible to run through
rpm-range with no to small amount of smoke.
Springplate on "lda tower" affects at in what pressure LDA-controller
starts to pull down due to pressure and increase fuel output.
Actually, LDA-controller will play big role on controlling VNT-turbo
aswell, since you should run minimun amount of smoke
as possible to not jam up control vanes with soot.

Thanks for the answer, you explained very well. Both pistons are from D24t, but the right is from a brand new test series pump from bosch, without any bosch numbers on the pump house, i figure that pump should not reached the "market" by the way, its for sale, i put the LDA locket back on, just wanted to ensure that the pump was new, the owner had store it in his garage for long time, so the pump axle had some oxidation.
