I have some pictures of how that engine looked with the Deere green saved somewhere but am not finding them so far. Here is a video of it running that is pretty poor quality but at least gives you some views of it in case this helps you decide if this color looks good to you.

I have to say that in more recent years I have come to believe that low gloss black is the best choice for the block on a diesel. That is how VW does the newer TDIs as well. Brighter colors look great when they are first in the car or if you wash them often, but black does a better job hiding the inevitable grime from use and minor oil seepage. Easier to keep it looking decent if you are lazy about cosmetics like I tend to be. But it's a matter of preference.
