Unfortunately no. The D24T used a different throttle control as seen below on a 1986 740 Turbo Diesel part #3517158 Below is the throttle control for the D24 in the 240 part#1272669 It's really about the way it mounts and the specific length.

I just wanted to update and say that a member of this forum has helped me out with this problem. I also found another gentleman off instagram that was able to snag one for me but it's not near as good of shape as the one from this forum!

That's a slough full of Volvos. Any progress on the Volvo truck?

Plastic parts always break
Is there a "trick" to maintain and reinforce this hard to find part, to have it last longer?

All of these volvos are slowly making it back on the road. Most run and drive. I have a few to choose from to drive to work and back . When one needs fixing I just swap out and drive another. The parts are becoming hard to find and the cost is going up on them all so I am reluctant to get rid of any of them and have been collecting them the past years.

I would say a very thick polymer sleeve. Maybe some time that will shrink with heat. I am going to try to wind some bailing wire around it. The other issue is the plastic. I bought the second one as well so I could remake the plastic parts out of metal. European plastic has always been shit. Too bad they couldn't have kept that bakelite or the old cloth epoxy mixture the east germans had in the old cars they made haha. Stuff last forever.

Yes prices are going up. What a nice truck to have no aftermarket. I remember reading a national geographic article regarding what a visitor from Poland stated regarding " Car Henge" in the Midwest: " We would never junk cars this new in Poland".
