Here in the US we are not very familiar with your year/model, but judging from the photos I found for the clutch kits you listed, the 271265 looks more correct than the 271266


because the fingers should not stick up as much as shown in the photo for 271266. Also, the general shape of the 271265 pressure plate looks more familiar. Guessing that the 271266 is for a flat flywheel, instead of the dog dish flywheel that is on my 1985 D24T/M46. Unless it changed for your newer 940?

Of course, there are other important specs, such as clutch diameter/thickness, number of splines, etc.

Sorry to be so vague; hopefully someone who recently did a clutch for a model close to yours can report.

Part of the problem is because for older "rare" cars, the parts suppliers are constantly consolidating their variety, trying to make less parts cover more applications. Sometimes it works, other times they don't fit. I'm going through that currently with replacement clutch cable.
