Okay - road trip over - in a different vehicle.

First, it was over heating. The cooling system in the Pinz is complicated, but we were able to get the bubbles out without it going into the red on the gauge.

Then a clamp on the silicon tubing from the turbo to the intercooler popped off, that was an easy fix - I probably forgot to tighten it.

Lastly, I had cut steel cooler lines for the tranny to fit the intercooler in. I had spliced them with steel braided hose and tried hose clamps - not a great combination. So that sprung a leak. it was late in the day and we had 6.5 hours to drive, so I towed it home.

I am looking at specs and options now for a better splice job on the tranny cooler lines.
