84 760 struts different than latter models?

I have decided to replace the front struts on my car but have a question. Many brands do not have struts for a 84 but list them for 85 and on. Does anyone know what the difference is? I was really wanting to put KYB on my car but they only show from 85 and on? Will 85 and latter struts work or is there a big difference? The production date on my 760 is 2/84.

1983 and 1984 760s have many differences compared to the 1985+ cars, and one of them is the front struts. They will not interchange with the later type, as far as I know. The early cars have a setup that looks more like what's on a 240 than the 1985+ 700 setup.

for the front struts there is no difference between 1984 and 1985 volvo 760 model .

Do you know if a 1983 760 uses similar suspension to any others?
